In 1977, after a brief stint as a District Manager, Barry Pearse returned to Nashville with a vision for starting a cartage company. With just two vans and a former operations manager, the company began its operations. Barry’s dedication and strategic thinking led to steady growth, and today he remains the CEO and sole owner. The company’s expansion northward into Kentucky, driven by courier work and airfreight deliveries, made it the largest pick-up and delivery service in Nashville.

By 1995, they expanded further, beginning line haul operations into Atlanta. The next year saw the opening of their second terminal in Memphis, responding to customer demand. A third terminal followed in 1997 after growth in Atlanta exceeded expectations.

In 2001, the company responded to international customer requests and launched a highly successful service to Chicago’s O’Hare Airport (ORD). This route remains one of the busiest in their system. Expansion into Dallas/Fort Worth took place in 2002, with demand necessitating the opening of a terminal there by 2003.

By late 2007, the company set its sights on the Atlantic Coast, identifying Washington-Dulles (IAD) as a key hub for export services. A terminal was opened there, and soon, demand from Baltimore and Philadelphia resulted in new services to those cities by 2008. Miami had been part of their network since 2004, offering inbound service.
